We are a dynamic resource for families both prenatally and after birth!
Owner- Jamee Diver, BA, IBCLC
Jamee Diver's focus on women and families health grew from the seed planted during her degree in psychology from UC in 2003, and blossomed after the births of her daughter in 2008 and her homebirthed son in 2011.
Attachment parenting and breastfeeding became two natural branches of this focus on gentle, respectful support and wellness, and Jamee became active in the greater Cincinnati community gaining a name for herself through grassroots work with La Leche League, classes on babywearing and cloth diapering through Cincinnati's premier natural general store Park + Vine, and as a generative force behind the local homebirth circle.
Jamee brings her fresh passions that focus on lactation as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to the Cincinnati community through Roots Wellness in Mason. As a, Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula, Child Passenger Safety Technician and Hypnobirthing instructror, she continues to help families advocate for themselves and their children.
Vitalia Albertson, RN, MSN, CLC
As a registered nurse, Vitalia began her career in the ICU but ultimately pivot toward her passion for women’s health and education.
When her first child was born, breastfeeding did not come as naturally as she had thought and was so thankful to be put in contact with an IBCLC in private practice. This IBCLC not only impacted her personal breastfeeding journey, but her professional journey, as well. Vitalia immediately dove into breastfeeding educational materials after her first-born, but it wasn’t until the birth of her second at home in 2020, and a complex breastfeeding journey, that she understood the greater need for lactation support from birth to weaning. Soon after her second child was born, Vitalia formally began a lactation mentorship with the same lactation consultant that helped her so many times with both children. It didn’t take long to confirm that becoming a board certified lactation consultant was her calling. Now, as a Certified Lactation Consultant, Vitalia has professional experience in the hospital setting helping moms and babies in their first few days of life, in addition to experience through the first year (and beyond) in the private practice setting.
Vitalia’s passion is supporting new moms throughout their entire feeding journey and strives to provide family centered care that helps you meet your goals. She is a strong believer that supporting the needs of your family is most important, no matter your feeding goals, and will work closely with you to come up with a plan that works for you.
Vitalia is an IBCLC candidate and will be sitting for the IBCLC exam in September 2022.
Jessica Allmyer, RN, BSN, IBCLC
As a registered nurse with a focus on women’s health, Jessica thought she was fully prepared to nurse her daughter when she was born in 2013. She was surprised after her birth that she did, in fact, have many questions and needed support to get things going in the right direction. Thankfully, she discovered a breastfeeding support group and an IBCLC that literally changed her life. She went on to have a long and fulfilling breastfeeding relationship with her daughter. And from that journey, a new journey was born.
Within a year after her daughter was born, she began extensive studying and mentorship and eventually began working in the lactation department at the very hospital where her daughter was born. As happy as it made her to help brand new families in the first few days of life, she felt the limitations of hospital bedside work and moved towards working with families after discharge. As an IBCLC, Jessica is absolutely passionate about promoting breastfeeding, but equally as passionate about supporting the needs of new nursing parents and families. She strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based, family-centered, and holistic care without pressure.
